Item Details

Description

This is a gorgeous cut glass vase with sterling silver overlay, made by Alvin. The glass is clear and the vase is an oval shape with an exaggerated ruffled rim. The sterling silver overlay features a beautiful Art Nouveau leaf and floral motif with a window of negative space left on three sides. In each of these windows, the glass is cut into a lovely floral design. It measures 10" tall and 4 3/8" in diameter at the mouth. The base is 2 3/4" in diameter. It is marked "999/1000 FINE," indicating that it is nearly pure silver. It also bears the Alvin maker's mark and "V 590."
