Description
The exquisite jewelry cabinet is made of heavy bronze, gilded and inlaid with silver wire cloisonné. Fitted with three drawers and worked in silver wire and white enamel on a deep blue ground with scattered cherry blossoms, the gilt-bronze refined hardware carved with scrolling vines, the loop handle supported by chrysanthemum bosses, set on four bracket feet, velvet lined interiors, signed in silver wire on black enamel. Each side and the top all have framed scenes of nature, birds and flora. The top depicts a phoenix. The back has an exquisite image of a peacock with peonies. The cabinet is in beautiful condition.
