A cased Japanese sterling, enamel and gold tea service

19th/20th century

Comprising a teapot, sugar jar, a creamer cup, and a large platter; sold with a wooden box with fitted velvet interior.

H: 1, W: 16 7/8, D: 13 1/2 in. (platter)

H: 2.54, W: 42.86, D: 34.29 cm. (platter

Weight: 78.8 oz. t. (approx.)

Provenance: Private collection, Connecticut.

Condition: Overall good condition, minor abrasions and surface wear to all pieces commensurate with age and use. The box with one broken leather strap on the interior and one closure latch is detached from exterior.
