Description

An antique cold-painted cast bronze desk set decorated with figurines of eastern man with weapons, jugs, carpets. Marble bases. The set consists of a rolling blotter and a pen stand. Hallmarks Austria on the bottom of the bases, Chotka on the rim of the rugs. The set is an example of a very popular production in Austria at the beginning of the 20th century, when Franz Xavier Bergman, 1861-1936, opened a foundry in Vienna. Anton Chotka, 1875-1925, was one of the most prominent artists who worked for Bergman. Collectible Antique Vinnese Bronze Items For Interior Design.
