Item Details
Description
Potter Carl Block of Waxahatchie, TX, is a retired high school art teacher of 30 years. And during that same period he began to has works sold & exhibited via some friends that are dealers also in the town. He had dabbled in pots for years prior. This fine devil face jug is a standard most excellent Block, likely circa 90s or just post. It's very challenging to describe his multi-hue & varied design on his pots. At the base of the handle (i.e. the button) is a little stamp, And then there are three additional buttons toward the base. One of them clearly states '14'. The year is also probably another of these buttons. His signature. It is possible that the 14 denotes 2014, but not sure. Carl loves to mark his pots, including the year made, in subtle ways. Stands 6.75" tall
