Suzanne Ramie (1905-1974) for Atelier Madoura. Unique art deco vase in glazed stoneware. Beautiful crackled glaze in sand shades. Mid-20th century.
Measures: 14.8 x 9.2 cm.
In excellent condition.

Suzanne Ramié (1905-1974) is best known as the founder of the Madoura pottery workshop in Vallauris, and the magnificent collaboration they undertook with Pablo Picasso created the wonderful and comprehensive works of Picasso pottery.
Suzanne Ramie was one of the key figures in the city of potters Vallauris. In 1938, Suzanne and her husband Georges Ramie moved to Vallauris and set up the Madoura workshop.
Her ceramics are known for their clean lines and colorful glazed enamels.
